Get Out / Stay Out Fund
In 2023, Finding Our Voices disbursed $88,000 to empower 168 women fleeing domestic violence or trying to stabilize their lives and the lives of their children.
Payments include apartment rent and security deposits; short term motel stays; car repairs, insurance and registration; lawyer consultations; gift cards for groceries, clothing and gas.
Referrals come from district attorney offices, homeless shelters, domestic abuse agencies, recovery and mental health caseworks, therapists, immigrant/migrant program, and concerned friends.
